We had a good old-fashioned blast at Latta Plantation last week for their Victorian Valentine Home School event! We learned a ton about what life in the Carolinas used to be like in the 18th and 19th centuries. And really, who doesn't love playing dress up?
Kristina and I were able to share some great children's books during story time, including the crowd favorites George Washington's Teeth (fun fact: not actually made out of wood!) & I'll Love You Til The Cows Come Home. (Both are available for sale at the store, FYI)
We loved it so much that we'll actually be returning for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th, which you can read up on here: https://www.lattaplantation.org/events/2019/4/20/annual-easter-egg-hunt
So, without further ado, please enjoy this album I've entitled
I Understand Now Why It Took People So Long To Get Dressed: 19th Century Style
